#122: If Spam Was An Offer, Everything Is.

Offers are either made or sitting idle only for someone to pick them up. Even if you didn’t see them, they would still be there. Look again, but try to do it differently this time.

I wrote about offers some 66 days ago. What I wrote then still counts. However, I thought about a practical example of an offer today. This one is far from ordinary, though.

Do you know James Veitch? If you didn’t, please watch one of his talks. He takes a different perspective. What bothers most, probably everybody in this particular case, intrigues him. It triggers his curiosity. He explores a subject that is of interest to him. Money isn’t what he has in mind. Or let’s call him a genius if he thought he could make money from replying to spam emails.

And yet, he did.

He replied.

Nowadays, he gives talks. He writes books. He makes people laugh.

What he actually did was to accept the offer in his inbox. That was it. He saw something others didn’t. The rest is history.

He might actually be a genius. I think he is.
