They look like bookmarks. They do tell their own stories. To me, they represent valuable memorabilia.

In 2019, I attended the College of Extraordinary Experiences.

I had no plan, no expectations. In fact, I had no clue what it was all about. It ended up being one of those moments. Although it lasted for days, it felt like a transcending moment. Don’t think paradise or nirvana. Imagine a welcoming world inviting diversity, creativity, love and mutual respect.

The experience has changed me. How? You may ask.

I was touched at the OO-level. I better let Peter Rothstein, the author of the College bookmark card I am looking at right now, explain what he means by the OO (and the AH):

«As both a creator and an audience member, I love that moment when something is so beautiful or stunning that it takes your breath away. That’s the OO. It’s a visceral response. But I love the moment even more when it is followed by an AH, which is an intellectual response. When the audience is let in on the how; when the mechanics of the endeavor are revealed.

Engage the audience on both the visceral and intellectual levels.»

So on Saturday I will be running this workshop on finding your own path and telling your personal story. What a great opportunity to engage the audience in the way described by Peter.

I will give it some thought, but then I will just do what feels right.

OO.

AH.
