We all like it when the sun is shining. But there is also rain, if we like it or not. It is not only vital for life on this planet.

Whether it is singing, dancing, running, hiking or camping, the memories I have of time spent in the rain feel so much more intense than its contrasting sun-filled moments. Rain truly is a source of life, a reminder of what it takes to grow and prosper.

I am sure we all remember being told that there was no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothing. How true that is.

There are so many good memories of walking through the pouring rain that come to mind. Those were the moments when I felt more alive and connected to nature.

Today was one of those days when we wished there was sunshine, but there wasn’t. We sat in a restaurant’s outdoor seating area protected from the rain thanks to a set of large umbrellas. It was the first family reunion in a long time. We had a very good time. Rain wasn’t a show-stopper.

I like rain, actually.
