The two of us have been living under the same roof for quite some time. No idea when it all started, but it doesn’t matter anyway.

We somehow decided not to share a room. It doesn’t mean that we don’t spend some quality time together.

There isn’t much talk either. It is pretty much me chatting, if at all anyone feels the need to say anything.

Our lives somehow evolve independently. Each of us minds their own business.

Is it mutual respect? Curiosity? Appreciation of what we have in common or differentiates us?

I know I have to be careful. Her favourite spot isn’t the most convenient and least dangerous one. And yet, she understands my signal. It has kept her safe all these days, weeks and months and I hope for much longer.

I can’t speak for her, but I would definitely miss her.

Familiarity.

Comfort.

Cohabiation.
