#17: My Shining Light
We have all had that feeling of being in the dark, not seeing the light anymore. That is when we are in need of a shining light leading the way.
If you have read any of my previous posts, you can probably tell that I value light quite highly.
Light catches my eye nearly everywhere. It makes me move closer. It gives me hope.
Someone dealing with hardship shows me the light.
A friend texting me «together we will somehow be able to fix this» shows me the light.
My two children assuming responsibility for their own life during unprecedented times show me the light.
People giving generously without expecting anything in return show me the light.
Someone sharing her vulnerability shows me the light.
I am far from being lost in darkness. I know that. It just feels like right now. I am glad I recognize it as a temporary feeling, not my reality. It still needs to be dealt with.
Looking at those lights shining around me helps.
A lot. Actually.
To become a shining light for others.
Soon again.
I hope.
