#26: Snowed Under

I am overwhelmed. Completely snowed under. And yet, I don’t feel lost. Lucky me.

This is not the first time. It has happened before. I have always managed to cope. Always dealt with it one way or another.

My mantra is to keep going, one task at a time, work your way through it. Keep your head up. Breathe. Look for the pole.

Something feels different now. The challenge is the same. The stakes are equally high.

So what is then?

Human relationships are a living, fragile construct. None are broken, but some are cracking. I am concerned because I know how hard it is to repair those cracks. It can be done, but it won’t be the same. Not anymore.

Breathing helps. It is what I have some level of control over.

There is also a pole I look out for when I am snowed under. It is those people I can count on. The ones who believe in me. Those who would be by my side whatever happens. The people who care.

When I am snowed under, I look out for the pole.

Never lose sight of your pole. And don’t stop breathing. Obviously.
