#45: Bear Hunt
«Oh no! We’ve got to go through it!» Remember what it was like when you last went on a bear hunt?
I remember singing this song with our two kids. They loved it. So did I.
No way under it nor could you get over it. The only way was «through it». Long grass. River. Mud. Forest. Snowstorm. Cave. You name it. One challenge after another.
There was some truth to it back then. There still is today.
Going on a bear hunt isn’t about muddling, forcing or stealing your way through. It is about determination, conviction and courage.
You stumble, so what.
You make a u-turn once you face the bear. Perfectly fine. Killing that fluffy animal was never the plan.
Rushing back to your bedroom to hide under the covers doesn’t call your adventurous spirit into question, does it?
You accomplished your mission.
And you survived. That is more than just a side effect.
Stay tuned. And you better get your backpack ready.
