#48: Move Now
You have a map and your backpack ist well-loaded. It feels balanced when resting on your hips. Now you make your first step and from there you just keep moving.
What makes it so hard?
This is the most crucial and hardest part of any grand plan.
The map of your destination might be blurry. Don’t worry. Your backpack could easily be overloaded. So be it. Everything you have done to date, your entire effort, evaporates or gathers dust when you don’t move.
You will experience fear. Not only when you make your first step. It will stand tall and wait for you at every crossroads. Suffering from imposter syndrome? Welcome to the club. The Growth Club.
Resilience, or the ability to thrive when things go wrong, will be your best companion on your journey. Another candidate to invite along is humor. Great to have her on your side when things get seriously tough.
The act of moving will be your best protection against feelings of regret. Scared of taking what looks like, in hindsight, the wrong path? You better be more concerned about regretting everything you haven’t done than the things you have done.
When you feel stuck, move. Change perspective. Go inside when you feel cold. Get out when you crave space and fresh air.
Crawl. Jump. Perform a somersault. The world looks different upside down. Promised.
And most importantly, beware of your mind.
It will try to control, halt, redirect your movements.
Move first, think next.
