Write a short story for children and use the word «wood». Here we go.

In the beginning, there was a wooden house in a faraway country occupied by a single parent father and his 4 children.

Every day the father left the house to work on the field.

Until one day in the morning, he didn’t wake up.

And because of that the children were on their own.

And because of that they had to look after themselves.

And because of that they wanted to do their father’s work, which they knew would be hard work. But they couldn’t. It was too hard for them.

And because of that they had to find food elsewhere. They loved immersing themselves in the woods. So they started foraging for food.

And because of that finding food became a game and didn’t feel like work.

And because of that life become so light.

And because of that they started seeing what they hadn’t seen before.

Until finally, the father woke up and couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that food was plentiful on the table.

Ever since then, feeding the family, which some people call “work”, has become everyone’s duty, young and old.

And the moral of the story is that life as a grown up can actually be joyful and purposeful at once.
