#84: Just Normal.
«They are just normal people living a normal life and behaving the normal way.»
I had this conversation with a friend of mine earlier today. She is the kindest person you could possibly imagine. A few months ago, she changed jobs.
The people she was referring to were her new colleagues at work.
They apparently still exist. They do.
She looked happy when she talked about them.
Just normal people.
No rock stars. No super heroes. No drama queens.
Just normal people.
It feels comforting when someone describes an environment that is welcoming, caring and safe.
Why shouldn’t work be a place like that?
Some might take it for granted.
Life has become complicated enough. We all do what we can, trying to contribute our very best.
Gratitude. That would be nice, but we can all do without. At least for some time, I guess.
Praise. Really? Wow!
Misery. Please no. Let’s not drag each other down.
Normality. So kind of you. Thank you.
I like it. It doesn’t take much, does it? A bit of respect. A spoon of empathy. A dash of humility.
Let’s all try to behave the normal way. We will be noticed.
With gratitude.
