#85: Too Much.

«I like caring too much.» How does that make me feel?

A friend of mine made that statement today. It made me wonder if that was the only version of «too much» not ending in some sort of catastrophe.

Eating too much.

Drinking too much.

Talking too much.

Smoking too much.

Working too much.

It is when we cross that line. We decide to go too far. We leave the «healthy space» and often struggle with finding our way back.

Interestingly, we do realize when it happens, don’t we?

An excuse normally comes in handy.

«I am sorry, but…» It is hardly ever our fault. We were never meant to push it that far.

So what about «caring too much»? «Loving too much»? «Giving too much support»?

The forces in question are positive and no longer destructive. Care. Love. Support.

The intention is equally positive. It is directed towards someone else.

There are risks. No doubt.

What if what you are trying to give isn’t wanted? What if you use up too much of someone’s space, time and even air to breathe?

Sure.

But when you here someone saying «I like caring too much», why not take up the offer?

I think it is gold.

Especially during times like these.

It gives me hope.
