We want to live in a world without fear of loss of property. It is about feeling safe in a risky world.
So whose responsibility is it to create this world? Am I just the beneficiary of someones else’s generous contribution or do I consider it my duty to lead by example?
Assuming co-responsibility for change, I hereby declare to contribute (not hinder), to share (not be selfish) and to challenge (not accept).
I contribute my empathy, my expectations, my skills, my network, my energy, my time, my skin in the game.
I share my fears, my hopes, my knowledge, my information, my benefits.
I challenge the status quo, my convictions, my prejudices, your truths, your incentives, your dodges.
As I am sure you have noticed by now, it’s not just about me. You have to be equally committed to this. Be transparent about your truths, be honest about your incentives and commit not to dodge.
You reveal your truths. No need to pretend to know it all, to be invulnerable and not to make mistakes. How can I trust you without knowing what you stand for?
You thrive in our mutual interest, disclose what incentivizes you to move or stop, justify your contribution rewarding a benefit. You have skin in the game.
You don’t cut corners, don’t compromise, create instead. You care.
